Hi Adam, just wanted to endorse everything you are saying in this podcast. This is priceless information and will transform any musicians time feel.
As a jazz musician no matter how or what I practiced everything felt rushed. I was told I had good time but it didn’t feel good. I originally picked this up from your Stevie Wonder lessons and followed it up with Mike Longo. Within a very short time of practicing with a drum the music started to breath and groove, everything seemed to slow down and find it’s place. I was playing a lot less and saying a lot more when soloing.
So a heartfelt thanks for introducing me to this and sharing it widely with the musical family.
Ray thank you for taking the time to check the podcast out and I hope we’ll meet one day. The podcast wil head to itunes once I have some more episodes. And…you may like the post The Joy of Horizontal Musical Flow which is also very Longo inspired 🙂
