Time in a Bottle Fingerstyle Guitar – Tips for Tuning!
- Tuning is standard D tuning
- Capo at 5 fret
- D A D G B E
I love Jim Croce. One of the first tunes I learned to sing and play when I was a kid was “Bad Bad Leroy Brown.”
Taste, humor, creativity and groove – it’s all there.
But “Time in a Bottle” is just pure poetry.
When music and lyrics meet to form “the SONG” it really speaks to the heart.
This arrangement came pretty quickly, it took just a few days. I chose not to go bananas with harmonics and effects…the sound of the lyrical melody came first and foremost.
Despite it’s sounding “delicate” it is a SERIOUS left-hand workout. Definitely need some rest after practicing this one. Enjoy!
