Heya! I LOVE the song “Too Hot” by Kool & The Gang, and this will hit the spot for some of you I hope!
When it came out in 1979 I was just 10 years old… and I loved it back then when I first heard it.
Somehow the lyrics and music gave me an imaginary idea of the emotions of being in love and also the experience of heartbreak.
I also remember being amazed and touched by the harmonies…that jazzy stuff was such a mystery.
Especially when it goes from minor to the major key.
And now when I listen today, it’s just so smooth and in the pocket…it is a true R&B classic.
